What would it feel like to give yourself an entire day to just be—to breathe, to connect, to heal, and to feel joy, without apology?
Last summer, over a fifty community members answered that question with a resounding yes, joining us for the very first Frolic in the Fields—a bold and beautiful gathering that reminded us what’s possible when wellness is reimagined through a cultural and collective lens.
We’re thrilled to announce that Frolic in the Fields is back for Year Two, and we’re coming back even bigger, deeper, and more intentional.
Hosted by Mindsilike Consulting & Community Practice Inc., this one-day wellness experience returns on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the peaceful embrace of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Frolic in the Fields centers the healing, joy, and connection of Black, Indigenous, and other racialized communities through a curated offering of workshops, movement, reflection, and celebration.
What’s in Store This Year
Afternoon Programming (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
The retreat begins at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre, where participants will be welcomed into a vibrant space of dialogue, learning, and care. We’ll hear from inspiring wellness practitioners and community voices, explore holistic healing practices, and engage in interactive wellness workshops. A buffet lunch will be served and our vendor marketplace will be open throughout the day, showcasing local artists, makers, and community organizations.
Evening Experience (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM):
In the evening, we’ll travel together to the breathtaking NOEB Lavender Farm for a movement and mindfulness session in nature. Surrounded by lavender fields and golden-hour light, this portion of the day invites restoration, grounding, and gentle reconnection with the land and with self.

Vendor Opportunities

This is an ideal space for wellness practitioners, artists, and small businesses looking to connect with a conscious and engaged audience.
Why Frolic?
Frolic in the Fields was created as a counter-narrative to the fast-paced, high-stress environments that often leave racialized communities behind in mainstream wellness spaces. It’s a space to pause. To be seen. To share laughter, healing, knowledge, and rest. It’s a space where culture and wellness meet, where joy is revolutionary, and where community is medicine.
Whether you joined us last year or this will be your first time, we welcome you to be part of this growing movement. Let this be your invitation to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate what it means to feel whole—together.
Let’s frolic again. We’ll see you in the fields.
